Monday Money News

First, from the FDIC, an opportunity for you to comment on automated overdraft payment programs. The deadline for comments is September 27, 2010. Note -  you bank must give you a chance to opt-in to programs that charge fees on ATM & point-of-sale overdrafts.

Second, the Federal Reserve is also seeking public comment on the effective dates for gift cards rules.
